i havent blogged for a week! dangit. haha...it's all good. i was in san diego for a great weekend with friends and family. but any who, my friends and i hiked through balboa park in girly shoes and flip flops. haha. never again. if we do, do it again, ill be sure to wear shoes. =)

he ceases to amaze me.

big ups to david blaine. he held his breath for 17 minutes yo! i can't even hold mine for a minute i think...well, hmmm.. maybe i can. but yea, im a super big fan of david blaine. i wouldn't mind meeting him and playing one of his card tricks or even just any of his tricks. he really amazes me. the one questionable trick he did was when he pulled off the chicken's head. that was interesting...i don't know if that was real. but hey, it got me.

im off to san diego tomorrow. im totally stoked! ha.. i haven't been there for a minute. it'll be great catching up with the bff and friends. also too ill be able to spend a nice relaxing and fun weekend with the closest people in my life - bff and partner. i'm excited...

unfortunately the weather in the bay has been weird...it was nice the other day and now it's super cold. i have a minor cough and i'm hoping it'll be better by tomorrow. i need immunity!

my relationship with art.

i have this love/hate relationship with art. some days i love it. some days i dont. some days im in love with it and it sweeps me off my feet. its quite overwhelming sometimes where i cant sleep at night. some days are so romantic, we stay up all night conjuring about what to do next or what can make a piece better. then, there are those days where we hate each other. okay, more like we dislike each other. we stare at each other in the face and have nothing to say. sometimes i feel like art walks away from me when i get mad or frustrated. its hard sometimes. sometimes art and i just dont flow like we used to. but then, we find each other all over again. i encompass the colors and textures through my hands like the first time we met. i may sound crazy but im in love.

i then find myself in a dilemma, where as much as i would love to pursue art...there are things that go against me and believe its not practical. why must i stop and go all the time? blah. i always come back to this point. i find myself on empty. not empty, as in tired. but, empty as in i need to fill myself all over again. maybe i just need to step out of the box and just do it. does it sound crazy? i have all these ideas, that stay in my head or on a paper. it isnt shared. why? because im scared, deep down inside...of succeeding.

as i promised... i needed to do a blog about my trip to ny. first off, i am glad to say that this trip was not only refreshing but, it was one of the best visits since i moved.

diwang pinay, was soooooo successful! i had never seen so many fresh and talented pinays in one space. it varied from painters, photographers, mcees, a dj, a band, poets and so much more. i was moved.

the long weekend consisted of kasamas having a great time. from an indian restaurant filled with chili peppers and random things hanging off the ceiling, while singing happy birthday in some upbeat bollywood style song to a friend (it actually wasn't really his birthday). to a night of dancing our asses off to michael vs. prince music...and just enjoying ourselves while eating white pizza. good times with good folks.

oh and before i forget, i had fun at babae's & lfs' diwang piany the yesterday night... again indulged with dope pinays. i really enjoyed the act by the comedian... she was hella funny. also, the pieces done by robin (the other robin), was hella dope as well. again, another great night in my book.
